Long since I created this blog, I think now the time is right( now I have the time to do this) when I should share about myself.
As you know my name is Sonam Mahajan, sounds like my name is Anthony Gonsolaves. Anyway.
My name was given to me by my dad, and surprisingly he had decided long before I was born. He's very filmy and use to like Anil kapoor a lot. Anil Kapoor was blessed with a daughter( on 9 june) and he had named her Sonam. My dad read it in Screen as Sanam and laughed. Later my Bade pa told him its S-O-N-A-M and it means destiny. That was it he decided to name his dear daughter Sonam.
When I was in school, there were such beautiful names, my favourite was Ria (chota sa, cute sa). One day I wen t home and asked dad to change my school name and he got upset over it cause he had liked the name a lot. I was irritating him and he said " what you want your name to be?" and reply was Ria. He laughed. I was like Dad its my favourite name please don't laugh.
Then he said its Anil kapoor's younger daughter's name. I thought thats good what's so funny about it. Finally the above story of how my name was decided.
Suddenly I started loving my name. And started telling the story to evreyone I knew, everyone I met. It was great fun. So my first article about myself is the lovely story of life and name.
