Time...

Don’t waste your time please – is what you often hear from your elders, especially your teachers. How irrelevant they seem now, but how true they will prove at a later stage of your lives. One respect in which we are all born equal is that all of us have an hour containing sixty minutes. Nobody has more than you, and nobody, has less. You can’t make it grow by keeping it in a bank.

The only way to save time is to spend it wisely. One should better oneself – physically and mentally and make oneself skillful – in duties and in pleasure too. All of us are constantly complaining – “I just didn’t have the time”. But the irony remains that the busiest person can and does find time for anything and everything. He just can’t afford to let things mount up. Each thing in his hands is taken care of. He is the one who knows to economize and utilize his time. Thus to spend time wisely, organize yourself in a better way.

If you have too many things to do, start with the ones that can and do the urgent ones last of all. It is those items that can wait, that do wait and wait that prolong your indecision and hold up your work. In this way, work will then get done faster. It is also true that if you are interested in something, you do it quickly and you will always find and have sufficient time for it. That perhaps is the reason why you never fail to paint your nails (girls) or gel your hair (boys) but you do forget to bring your note books or pens to class.

You must also form the habit of doing your work in time. Procrastination wastes time and makes one lose many opportunities. It is better to make mistakes than not take a decision at all. The longer you take to decide, the closer you get to take no decision at all. Even if you take a wrong decision, there is always a scope to correct it. Time can be your enemy if not utilized properly. So, dear students and all readers, if you have a goal in mind – do something about it. Just don’t wait for the right time to come. Every moment is the right moment to do almost everything. Instead of wasting time, thinking about hoe to do it – JUST DO IT…
